Discolored pool grout

Postby kim » Sat 16 Jun, 2007 19:55

We've got a brand new pool (5-weeks) with a salt system. The grout in the pool tile is very discolored. It's turning a dark green/black color, mostly at and above the waterline. (not all of it, but a good %)

It's getting worse around the waterfall from the spa where it seems to be constantly wet.

Any suggestions on how to clean this away?

It's turning a dark green/black color, mostly at and above the waterline.

You can take a chlorine tab and rub a few area's and see if this takes it off, it sounds like algae in tile grout sense you say it looks green. Make sure chlorine level is at proper level and clean your tile weekly.
you can buy tile cleaning attachments for your pole. Also you can adjust return line eye's so they give better flow/circulation for pool.
